Motorola i1

Motorola i1 is a decent looking handset & the first Android iDEN mode running on Android OS 1.5. The capacitive touchscreen measures 3.1 inches with resolution of 320×480 pixels and includes an accelerometer and proximity sensor. Motorola i1 brings PTT functionality into a touchscreen design. Multi-tasking is made easier with an option to  toggle PTT calls to the background, allowing you to view emails, messages and more.

With the Motorola i1, you only get Android 1.5. That’s four generations behind the current version of the OS. Google can say what it wants about fragmentation not being an issue, but the 1.5 designation means that a lot of new third-party apps won’t run on the i1. Sprint won’t commit to upgrading the i1, either, so just assume you’re stuck with what you get here. Fortunately, Motorola has pumped up Android 1.5 with Microsoft Exchange support, which doesn’t come standard with that OS version.
